For anyone planning an RV vacation, California is a state that offers fun things to do for just about every member of the family. An RV is a great way to explore this great state for several reasons: camping in RV parks can be cost-effective for a family, you can have all of your belongings with you rather than in suitcases, and you can cover a lot of ground in an RV letting you see many different destinations.

RV rentals in California can be found at numerous spots around the state. Most of the establishments offer a wide range of models to choose from: the Class A Styles, Class C Cabover Styles, Fifth Wheels, and Towables. Take some time to look over the different models and floorplans before choosing what model will suit you and the number of people you are traveling with. Most of the rental places will have a website with information on models, pricing, contracts , and reservations.

Be sure to be clear on all of the rental conditions and restrictions before signing any contracts. Visit “Ten Tips for RV Renters” to learn more about tips for rv renters.

While staying in Las Vegas for a month we definately had plans to make it to at least one show. We were going to go see Criss Angel’s show Believe but after reading the reviews we decided to pass and go see The Phantom of the Opera. After getting our tickets through Las Vegas Event Tickets, we decided that we would go down a bit early and sit and have a glass of wine and appetizers before the event. We ignored mapquest’s directions which bring you in somewhat of a backway to the Venetian and ended up driving down the whole Las Vegas strip from the south end. Now the Las Vegas strip is cool when you have the time but we were sort of pressed and the traffic was horrendous. They are doing some construction in a few spots which narrows down the road a bit in places too. So if you are heading downtown to a show, leave yourself plenty of time and try to avoid driving down the strip as much as possible.
We had just enough time to sit down at the Grand Lux Cafe right outside of the Phantom theatre in the Venetian to grab a bite. The crabcakes were some of the best we had ever had and the potstickers weren’t so bad either. We drank our Pinot and Sam Adams and were sitting in our seats 10 minutes before the show started.
Once you sit down in this $40 million dollar custom-built theatre you are convinced that you are sitting down in the Paris Opera House. We had great seats in the Gold section which is the center floor and we could see perfectly. We had never see any previous version of the production live but had watched the movie that had been made so we were familiar with the story-line and music. This production leaves out none of the original music or story-line but it has added special affects and enhancements that sweep you into the world of the phantom and Kristine and make the 95 minute show fly by. The chandelier scenes in the play are worth the price of admission alone. I would highly recommend this show, it is worth every penny so don’t miss it!

Recreational vehicles or RVs are a popular way to travel and will be for a long time to come. These cars and trucks are like traveling homes. Many people find them preferable to staying in hotels because they can have all the comforts of home wherever they go and at normally a reduced cost.

Recreational vehicles can be used for many purposes, such as traversing long distances, camping or sometimes even as a permanent home. The largest and most luxurious recreational vehicles are the Class A Motor homes. The smaller versions are put under the designations of class B , which are usually campervans and Class C’s which usually have storage or a bed over the driver’s compartment.

The Recreational Vehicles are also made up by combining a truck or van with a trailer. Fifth wheel Rv’s are extremely efficient for this as they have a special towing hitch that sits in the bed of the pick-up and the weight of the trailer is more easily towed and maneuvering the trailer while towing is extremely easy. All these recreational vehicles are designed to provide space for storage and accommodations. A standard recreational vehicle contains a bed, a small kitchen area, storage space, dining table and a TV. Larger recreational vehicles such as a Class A’s have a bathroom, shower, toilet, living room and master bedroom. These luxurious high end vehicles also include a refrigerator, satellite TV, internet facility, awnings, slide out compartments and the ability to tow along a car, motorbike or bicycle.

The class A Recreational Vehicles are truly luxurious vehicles. These are normally built on a truck or commercial bus chassis to carry the weight of these vehicles that can be as long as 45 feet. You can camp in any camping area as long as you can fit but may want to stay in an RV park to hook up to 50 amp outlets.

There is no need to book a room at a hotel while traveling in a recreational vehicle. You can prepare food in your own kitchen so there is no need to find a restaurant on the way.
